The Shine family has set up the Adam Ziarnik Scholarship Fund at McCann Technical School in North Adams Ma. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating McCann senior continuing their education in electronics. The recipient will need to show creativity in technology and the desire to help others. For 15 years, Adam contributed to the ongoing success and growth of our manufacturing department and will be missed.
The Shine Family is pleased to announce the creation of the “Bernard J. Shine, Jr. Fund For Dorchester.” This endowed scholarship was set up at Boston College High School to assist disadvantaged students from Dorchester who will be attending Boston College. Bernard Shine, the founder of Shine Wire was born and raised in Dorchester, and graduated from B.C. High in 1948.

For the 12th year, Shine Wire is proud to sponsor the Greylock Theatre Project. The Greylock Theatre Project (GTP) is an outreach program that brings together professional theatre artists with kids ages 9-18 from neighboring North Adams to create theatre. Developed by the Williamstown Theatre Festival to provide inclusive programming for under-served youth in our community, the GTP is a replication of The 52nd Street Project in New York City, a nationally renowned organization recognized for its inventive theatre programs for inner-city children.
