Halloween at Shine

Halloween has always been a fun day at Shine Wire. The employees compete for prize money and bragging privileges. Our three costume categories are:
1. The WOW
2. The scariest
3. Most original
For the first time in company history we had a double winner. Dave Morin won the “WOW” and Most Original for his “Franken Shine” costume. The scariest award went to Kevin Dudziak. Happy Halloween everyone.
The Meredith Shine Endowed Scholarship

The Meredith Shine Endowed Scholarship is awarded each year to a resident of Berkshire County Massachusetts who is entering Boston College. This long standing scholarship is in memory of Meredith 86′ who was killed in a car accident prior to graduating from the college. A Political Science Major and soccer player, Meredith was a proud member of the Boston College community.
Bernard J. Shine, Jr. Fund For Dorchester

The Shine Family is pleased to announce the creation of the “Bernard J. Shine, Jr. Fund For Dorchester.” This endowed scholarship was set up at Boston College High School to assist disadvantaged students from Dorchester who will be attending Boston College. Bernard Shine, the founder of Shine Wire was born and raised in Dorchester, and graduated from B.C. High in 1948.
Adam Ziarnik Scholarship Fund

The Shine family has set up the Adam Ziarnik Scholarship Fund at McCann Technical School in North Adams Ma. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating McCann senior continuing their education in electronics. The recipient will need to show creativity in technology and the desire to help others. For 15 years, Adam contributed to the ongoing success and growth of our manufacturing department and will be missed.
